 Basic training 

Basic education as “the person in charge of medical care on board” ships category A

Precondition:

Accepted on, or already completed the training as: Deck Officer, Master Mariners, Chief Engineer, Master Restricted or Master Home-trade (3000 BT). Alternately 24 month documented sailing experience.

The occupational terms above refer to the terms/definitions used in the STCW code.

After completing the course, the participants poses the qualifications defined in the STCW code (section A-VI/4) as elaborated by EU directive 92/29(Annex V), and are aware of Danish regulations in the field, as defined by Technical Regulations on Occupational Health in Ships (chapter A IX B)

Basic education as “the person in charge of medical care on board” ships category B

Precondition:

Accepted on training as Master Home-Trade (500 BT) or Basic fishing course, or poses a valid proficiency in sailing (commercial), or 24 month of documented sailing time.

After completing the course, the participants poses the qualifications defined in the STCW code (section A-VI/4) as elaborated by EU directive 92/29(Annex V), and are aware of Danish regulations in the field, as defined by Technical Regulations on Occupational Health in Ships (chapter A IX B)
