Last week, Denmark officially presented the Danish candidature for the IMO Council. This falls in line with the Growth Plan for the Blue Denmark, stating that Denmark will continue to be active in the international cooperation performed in the IMO.

From 13 May 2013, seafarers and shipowners are to apply digitally for certificates. This will make the application process easier. At the same time, user payment will be introduced for certificates of competency and certificates of qualification.
