Bareboat

Ships owned by foreigners can be bareboat registered in the Register of Shipping or in the Danish International Register of Shipping. Ships on the Danish registers of shipping can, furthermore, be bareboat registered under certain foreign flags. No registration fee is requested for being admitted to the bareboat register, but an annual fee is however requested.

It is not possible to register mortgage rights or other rights in ships that are bareboat registered in Denmark.

The register in the country where the ship is registered must accept the bareboat registration in Denmark.
