Bill proposing amendments to the act on maritime training programmes

27. October 2010
On 27 October 2010, Danish Minister for Economic and Business Affairs Brian Mikkelsen has presented a bill proposing amendments to the act on maritime training programmes.

The bill follows up on the cross-ministerial report “Private foundations – management, regulation and efficiency” (available in Danish) from 2009, which contains, among other things, an overall model for future-oriented regulation of private foundations receiving public subsidies.

The bill aims to adjust the provisions on appropriations and on accounting and auditing of the maritime training institutions.

Furthermore, there will be a number of minor adjustments of the act’s provisions on the institutions, their regulations, etc. and on the composition of the board of directors.

Additional information

The bill is available in Danish from the webpage of the Danish Parliament (the bill has no. L 39).
