The Danish Division for Investigation of Maritime Accidents has prepared a report regarding the collision in the Sound on 29 October 2009 between the Danish fishingvessel Simone and the cypriot registered containervessel Aurora.



The Division for Investigation of Maritime Accidents has prepared af report regarding the collision in the Sound on 29 October 2009, in which the Danish fishingvessel Simone and the Cypriot registered containervessel Aurora collided. The collision happened when the fishingvessel was underway from the new fishery harbour in the Port of Copenhagen bound for nets just north of Flakfortet, and the containervessel had just departed Copenhagen bound for Helsingborg, Sweden.

There was no injuries as a result of the collision, but the fishingvessel sustained damages above and below the waterline. The Skipper was able to return to the Fishery harbour by its own power. Aurora sustained no damages by the collision.
