The Danish Maritime Authority’s strategy and guidelines on the prevention and treatment of malaria have been revised and are now available on our homepage:

Sundhed - materialer

The revision has been carried out to shed some light on the malaria problem and to call attention to the fact that the guidelines on prevention and treatment are still recommended. Focus is put on the following:

  • Risk assessment and personal information

  • Diagnosis with ready-set does not prevent malaria

  • Medicine may cause side effects, but the parasite might be lethal

  • Quality assurance with multiple purposes
