Our workplace is characterised by diversity, a high degree of professionalism and an international environment. The tasks are varied and cover issues from political case consideration, over ship surveys to the drafting of rules and regulations.
Our main task is to retain and develop Denmark as Europe's leading maritime nation. We strive to achieve this in cooperation with maritime companies, educational institutions and other authorities. Here you will meet a good and informal tone and be working in a strong professional environment.
Our main offices are located on Carl Jacobsens Vej 31 in Valby, but we have offices in several places throughout the country.
The tasks of the Danish Maritime Authority
The tasks cover a wide field and we recognise the value of diversity among our employees as a strength when solving various tasks. Our employees count navigating officers, law graduates, engineer officers and persons from a wide range of other professions who are communicating and solving tasks across the divisions on a daily basis.
A part of the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs
The Danish Maritime Authority is a part of the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. This common framework benefits cooperation, provides flexibility and makes it possible to move around among several government agencies during one's career. There are frequently joint events so that the colleagues can get to know each other across the agencies. In the same manner, we have internally in the Danish Maritime Authority our own cycling team and the wine club "Club Vin Maritime", just as we frequently have employee events.
