As a public authority, we process a great deal of information about both businesses and natural persons. If you are a natural person or a sole proprietorship and you send us information about yourself, other persons or your business, the information that you submit to us will be personal data.
Under a number of different law provisions, we have the right and duty to process personal data as part of our general case processing. We have a duty to register such data according to the Danish Public Administration Act, and we have a duty to keep the registered information in compliance with the Danish Act on Archiving. This means, for example, that we can only delete information to the extent that it is in accordance with the Danish Act on Archiving.
We also process personal data in other contexts, for example if we assist citizens and businesses in solving service assignments. In such situations, we will obtain consent for the processing. Such consent can always be withdrawn, after which we delete the information. If the consent is not withdrawn, we will delete the information once we have completed the assignment.
Irrespective of the type of processing, with a few particular exceptions, you are entitled to request us for access to the information we process about you, and you can ask us - to the extent that it is not contrary to other legislation - to rectify information, erase information or completely cease processing your data.
All information that we receive is kept on a server in Denmark, and in a review of our systems and through instructions to our employees we have taken steps to ensure that we protect all information as well as possible.
