The Danish Maritime Authority’s second vessel, POUL LØWENØRN, will be responsible for all work with the “Aids to Navigation” (AtoN/ buoys, beacons & lighthouses etc.), and will also take over the task of surveying the seabed, which has been carried out by JENS SØRENSEN.
The Inspection vessel JENS SØRENSEN has been used for many different purposes, including surveying the seabed and maintenance of “Aids to Navigation” in both Danish and Greenland waters, as well as inspection and diving tasks. The ship can work in both narrow, shallow and open seas, as a very stable and usable work platform.
