European Shipping Week

European Shipping Week features a variety of events and networking meetings in Brussels, giving the maritime industry the opportunity to meet and discuss with those who develop maritime policy and regulation.

Including guests from all over Europe and events with a wide range of themes, there will be plenty of opportunities to expand your network, discuss current challenges and become wiser about the future as it looks from the EU's political engine.

In 2017, the European Shipping Week took place from Monday 27 February to Friday 3 March.

ECSA (the European Community Shipowners' Association) is the main organiser of the European Shipping Week.

In 2017, the Danish Maritime Authority hosted an event on modern technology’s impact on the collaboration between the industry and the authorities.

Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority, Andreas Nordseth, and a number of employees took part in the European Shipping Week.

The Danish Maritime Authority's own event took place on Tuesday 28 February 2017 at the Steigenberger Wiltcher's Hotel. Here it was discussed with participants how satellites, drones and data sharing can make life easier for the shipping industry and seafarers while simultaneously making enforcement more effective.
