Focus on Training, Port State Control, and Green Shipping in Kenya

I am happy to see that the Strategic Sector Cooperation between Denmark and Kenya has had a great start and is implementing the various areas, such as qualified training of seafarers for employment on international vessels, which will benefit both Kenya and Denmark.

As stated by Deputy Director, Rikke Wetter Olufsen, who visited Kenya this week, where the first steering committee meeting under the Maritime Strategic Sector Cooperation between Denmark and Kenya was held. During the visit discussions on the cooperation between Denmark and Kenya on training of seafarers and pilots, port state control, and green shipping among others took place with Kenyan partners.
