Approved providers of exams for recreational sailors

Approved providers authorize and assign censors to conduct recreational sailing exams. You must therefore contact an approved provider if you wish to take or book a recreational sailing exam.

The approved providers report passed recreational sailing exams to the Danish Maritime Authority.
We therefore have information about your exams as a recreational sailor. You can see all your information on our self-service for seafarers, where you must log in with MitID.

You will find your recreational sailing certificates and exams under the "Certificates" tab, where they are at the very bottom of the page.
Please note that recreational sailing certificates issued by approved providers are not displayed.

Issue of certificates for recreational sailors

The approved providers are issuing most types of certificates for recreational sailors by authority of the Danish Maritime Authority​.
This will be reflected on the issued certificate.

The approved providers are currently authorized to issue Personal watercraft certificates, Power boat certificates, Certificates of proficiency in motor operation for recreational sailors and SRC certificates​.

Certificates of Competency​ as recreational sailor and Yacht Master 3rd and 1st class ​​are issued by the Danish Maritime Authority.

Approved providers

The approved providers can be approved for conducting all types of recreational sailing exams. All orders for censors to facilitate recreational sailing exams must be addressed to the approved providers.
