Danish Pleasure Craft Safety Board

The Danish Pleasure Craft Safety Board is an independent body under the Danish Maritime Authority. We are striving to ensure safety for everybody who uses Danish waters for recreational purposes.

Our main activities are the following:

  • to take the initiative to prevent accidents related to recreational activities at sea;
  • to give advice to the Danish Maritime Authority in cases related to these activities;
  • to develop information material and launch other initiatives to prevent accidents at sea;
  • to coordinate the efforts made by the member organisations to increase safety related to recreational activities at sea.

The Danish Pleasure Craft Safety Board consists of a chairman who has been appointed by the Danish Maritime Authority, and members who are appointed by the Board's member organisations.

The activities of the Board are financed partly by the Danish Maritime Authority, partly by private sponsors.
