Campaign on well-being and mental health at sea

The Danish Maritime Authority, in collaboration with workers’ and employers’ organisations, has launched a campaign to promote well-being and good mental health among all seafarers on Danish ships.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of respectful behaviour on board and to prevent inappropriate behaviour. Good mental health at work is a prerequisite for well-being, safety and well-functioning cooperation at sea.

A film about everyday life on board

The campaign includes, among other things, an animated film that illustrates examples of both good and bad behaviour in work contexts and shows how communication and behaviour have an impact on the working environment on board.

The film can be used as a basis for dialogue and reflection among both management and crew and is suitable for, for example, joint reviews, introductions of new employees or working environment discussions.

“Let’s work with respect”

The campaign slogan is “Let’s work with respect” and emphasizes that a respectful working environment is a shared responsibility – regardless of role, rank or experience.

Below, you can download different versions of the campaign video, which can be freely used on board and by shipping companies in their work with well-being and the mental working environment.
