Denmark is one of only ten flag states to receive positive assessments across all criteria in the table. This means that Denmark meets all international standards applied by ICS when assessing flag state performance.
The table shows the extent to which flag states comply with international conventions, rules and obligations in areas such as safety, the environment, working conditions and port state control. It also takes into account factors including the average age of the fleet, ratification of international conventions and participation in the work of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The result confirms the high quality of Danish shipping and reflects a sustained commitment to the safe and responsible operation of ships flying the Danish flag.
